The important part of my job is to actually really take time to actively listen to my clients and to try to look beneath the surface to try to uncover what's really important to them so that whether that could be having a very comfortable retirement, helping with their children or grandchildren's education, helping pay down debt, charitable giving, things of that nature. Whatever might be important to them.
We have the resources here available to us, so if I want to do financial planning for a client, I bring in the financial planning specialist. If I want to do estate planning for the client, I'd bring in the estate planning specialist or CIBC Trust or CIBC Private Banking. We have a very cohesive team, we work very well together and at the end of the day it's important that clients feel that they have different resources to call upon.
I think the thing that differentiates myself and my team would be that we focus a lot more on the wealth management concept. We really take time to listen to what's important to clients, help them create a financial vision for themselves, and then a road map on how to make that vision become a reality. I get a great deal satisfaction meeting with clients and be able to deliver exactly what they're looking for from us. At the end of the day they get a great deal of comfort leaving with a sense of relief that, hey, they're gonna be okay and their financial future is in good hands.
